Competitor Analysis

Know who your prospects are comparing you to. We analyze the competitive landscape with data.

Competitor Analysis

Competitor analysis examines your competitors' customer base, market positioning, and coverage to identify where you have advantages and where you're vulnerable. We use firmographic data, technographic signals, and market analysis to provide concrete competitive intelligence.

You know your top 3 competitors by name. But you don't know which industries they're strongest in, what company size they dominate, or where they have gaps in coverage. Without data, your competitive strategy is based on what your sales team hears anecdotally in deal cycles.

Common Questions

How do you identify who uses a competitor's product?

Multiple methods: website technology scanning detects installed software, job postings mention required tools, integration marketplace profiles show active users, and review sites publish customer lists. No single source is complete, but combined they provide a useful picture of competitor install bases.

Can you tell us why we're losing to specific competitors?

We can identify patterns in lost deals — if you lose more often to Competitor X in the healthcare vertical but win against them in technology, that's a targeting insight. The 'why' behind individual losses requires win/loss interview data, which is outside our scope, but the firmographic patterns are within it.

How current is competitive intelligence data?

Technology detection is near real-time. Job postings reflect current hiring (last 30-90 days). Review site data is typically 6-12 months old. We timestamp all data sources so you know the freshness of each signal. We recommend refreshing competitive analysis every 6-12 months.
