About Verum

We clean B2B data. Faster and cheaper than the agencies you've been paying.

Why This Exists

I spent a decade in B2B sales at Salesforce, Microsoft, and Snapdocs. At each company, the same problem: the CRM was full of garbage data. Disconnected numbers, bounced emails, contacts who'd left the company two years ago. Reps wasted hours researching before they could even pick up the phone.

The available fixes each carried tradeoffs: hire outside help, license another data platform, or assign the cleanup internally. None solved the recurring ownership and quality problem on its own.

Verum was built around AI-assisted processing with human review for ambiguous records. The goal is a traceable workflow: preserve the input, document the rules, review exceptions, and reconcile the delivery.

What We Do

You send a representative file and define the needed outcome. We document the checks, exception rules, delivery format, acceptance criteria, charge, and schedule before processing the approved scope.

That means deduplicating your CRM, verifying that businesses are still operating, finding the right contact person, and appending verified emails and phone numbers. A human reviews each project before the delivery plan returns it.

We're not a software platform. Each project has a written scope covering eligible records, included checks, review rules, delivery, usage terms, schedule, and quote.

Why Per-Record Pricing

Agencies bill by the hour because it's good for them. The longer the project takes, the more they make. There's zero incentive to be efficient.

The quotes are documented in a scope-specific quote after the file, requested checks, exception rules, and delivery format are reviewed.

Who I Am

I'm Rome. Before Verum, I was Head of Sales at Datajoy (acquired by Databricks), sold CRM and AI products at Microsoft, and was an early hire at Snapdocs through their Series A to D (Sequoia, Founders Fund, YC, Tiger Global). MBA from UC Berkeley Haas.

I've sat in the chair where bad data costs you deals. That's why I built this.

The Name

Verum is Latin for "truth." Seemed fitting for a company whose entire job is making sure your data is accurate.

Common Questions

What does Verum do?

A human reviews each project before delivery.

How does Verum compare with an agency or a self-serve platform?

Agencies and software platforms use different scopes and commercial terms. Verum charges a defined project before work begins and states the delivery and usage terms in writing. Buyers comparing a vendor license should verify its current charge, continuation, service-ending, and data-use provisions in the actual agreement.

Who is behind Verum?

Rome Thorndike. Before Verum he was Head of Sales at Datajoy (acquired by Databricks), sold CRM and AI products at Microsoft, and joined Snapdocs early through its Series A to D. MBA from UC Berkeley Haas.

How long does a project take?

Larger datasets can take longer, and the timeline is spelled out in your quote before we start.

Can I test the quality before paying?

Yes. We can agree on a representative sample, expected fields, status definitions, and review rules so you can inspect the output before authorizing broader work.

Want to Try It?

A sample review can be scoped against representative records so both sides agree on fields, validation statuses, review rules, and delivery format before broader work.
