CRM Detection

Know what CRM your prospects use before you pitch — it changes everything about your approach.

CRM Detection

CRM detection identifies which customer relationship management platform each company in your database uses: Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, Pipedrive, or one of dozens of others. This technographic data point is critical for companies selling CRM integrations, add-ons, migration services, or competing CRM products.

If you sell a Salesforce integration, pitching a HubSpot shop wastes everyone's time. If you sell CRM migration services, you need to know who's on legacy platforms. Without CRM detection, you're guessing which prospects can actually use your product — and guessing wrong 60-70% of the time.

Common Questions

What CRM platforms can you detect?

We reliably detect Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, Freshsales, Monday Sales CRM, Close, Copper, and most other web-based CRMs. On-premise CRMs like older Dynamics versions or Sugar are harder to detect from outside but can sometimes be inferred from job postings and integration patterns.

How accurate is CRM detection?

When we detect a CRM, accuracy is typically 85-90%. The main source of error is companies that have migrated recently — their old CRM's tracking scripts may still be on the website. We reduce this by combining multiple detection methods and flagging conflicting signals for review.

Can you tell us which CRM edition or tier a company uses?

Sometimes. Salesforce editions can often be distinguished by the features visible in their web presence. HubSpot's free vs paid tiers have different capabilities we can detect. But tier detection is less reliable than platform detection — we get it right about 60% of the time when we attempt it.
