That's normal. We use fuzzy matching, domain lookup, and multiple reference databases to resolve company names even when they're abbreviated, misspelled, or use a DBA instead of the legal name. Match rates on messy data are lower (50-65%) but including a website domain or phone number significantly improves resolution.

How do you determine revenue for private companies?

Revenue for private companies is estimated using models that factor in employee count, industry benchmarks, technology spend signals, and other proxy data. We report these as ranges (e.g., $10M-$25M) rather than exact figures, and flag them as estimates so you know the confidence level.

Can you distinguish between a company's HQ and branch offices?

Yes. We identify the headquarters address separately from branch and regional office locations. For companies with multiple locations, we can provide the full location list or just the HQ, depending on your use case.
